Die Baureihe 38.2-3Die Schsischen Staatseisenbahnen bentigten Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts eine leistungsfhige Lokomotive, die vorwiegend im Hgelland sowohl im Personen als auch im Gterzugdienst eingesetzt werden konnte. Die Schsische Maschinenfabrik vorm. Richard Hartmann in Chemnitz wurde beauftragt, eine solche Lok zu entwickeln und zu bauen. Im Frhjahr 1910 konnte die erste Maschine der Baureihe XII H2 in Dienst gestellt werden. Bis 1922 wurden 159 Loks gebaut, 1927
