It is a size medium, and exhibits blackened brass United Carr snaps. Brass snaps were utilized for a short time in mid 1942 and then were reintroduced in late 1943 due to brass no longer being considered a scarce material. This would be ideal for a helmet liner with either green painted steel or blackened brass A washers. Provenance Private
