The base can be fixed to flat surfaces vertically, diagonally or horizontally. Each base uses the universal AMPs hole spacing standard and the holes will accept 10G or M5 countersunk fasteners. I bought some of the foam filler to go in it but it wasn't enough; However, if you have spare blankets, out of season clothes or anything that's cloth you can fill this up with it! Helps with storage as i rotate my clothes and blankets. It looks great in my room, soft and high quality. And it's easy to wash and clean HOWEVER with the foam, i would recommend a mesh bag so when you have to wash it, you don't get foam everywhere.
