The hold down bar exhibits a minimum 90 opening angle and can be solid or U shaped. Stainless steel units are available for the food industry or corrosive environments. This a really nice bag! I can't wait to go on my trip. It is just the right size, not too big, not too small. It holds a lot of things and I can reach in and see all of it.
