The female socket version is used on WisBlock Base (RAK5005 O), while the male header version is used on other WisBlock modules. There are two types of connectors: the 24 pin version and the 40 pin version. The 24 pin male connector is used for WisBlock Sensor modules, while the 40 pin male connector is used for WisBlock IO modules.

I gave it 4 stars ONLY because I've had the nozzle break on at least 1 of these. So they could improve the way it sprays, but overall I'm very happy with the product. It keeps my whole family from getting burned and goes on clear. I love this because my kids always complain that they don't like the whitecast, so this one is a keeper!
