These stones are the closest thing to real diamonds and used in the most elegant designs. It is offered in silver or gold plating. The band is made to fit any head size. I use these constantly to clean my Chinchilla Persian Cats nose which is always leaking. These pads are gentle on his nose and don't shed which I luv. There"s a little slit on one side to use if you want to slip your finger into to hold. These pads are soft on both sides. I dampen them before using. The shape to me is better than the round pads and also the edges are not rough like many round pads are.
