Purchased this book for my 6 year old grandson, whose family will be moving out of state within a year. This book is so great! I love how it reminds children that they are loved by simply looking at nature around them. For example: "That inviting ocean? That's me waving at you. That clap of thunder? That's me raving about you." So cute! The opening pages and closing pages show a mother & son together, but the in between pages show boys and girls. I kind of wish the cover wasn't so obviously a boy and his mom since I have a daughter, but it doesn't stop me from reading it to my kiddo. All in all, five stars! :)
